The way light remembers
Why every ORVELLE piece begins as a drawing of an orbit — and what a stone does with the light you give it.
Every piece in the house begins the same way: a single ellipse, drawn by hand, timed to a breath. It is the orbit a stone traces around the person wearing it — the path light takes when it returns. We draw it before we know what the piece will be. The metal comes later. The stone comes last, because the stone is the only part we do not make; we only decide what it will remember. When a brilliant is cut well, light enters, turns twice, and leaves changed. That turn is the whole craft. Our settings exist to stay out of its way.
